Kou waited years for Futaba, he never forgot her, he noticed her first in the hallway, he tried to get her attention for months, he flirted with her hoping she’d like his new self and not the old one. He always defended her from others, protected her from harm, helped her with every problem she had, constantly saved her, wrote her name in all his books, sees her as his hero. He even carried her up a hill, encouraged her to be herself, to make real friends, to stop trying to please everyone. That boy was deeply in love with her.

in a world full of touma haters i’m proudly a touma lover. before anyone starts saying stuff, be real for a second. if you liked someone, wouldn’t you try your best to be with them. that’s exactly what touma did. at the time, kou himself didn’t even want a relationship, and touma didn’t know everything going on. he just followed his feelings and went for the person he liked. people calling him dangerous honestly don’t get it. he didn’t force futaba into anything or manipulate her in some evil way. he just approached love differently, and that doesn’t make it wrong. a lot of people would probably do the same in his position. the reason i like touma more, is because of how open and gentle he was. he was soft spoken, kind, and always reassuring futaba. he made sure she didn’t feel insecure and told her she was beautiful. meanwhile, kou, especially at that point, would tease her about things like eating too much. but touma accepted her completely. he loved her as she was and never tried to change her. honestly, being with someone like touma sounds really comforting. but at the end, futaba and kou together are still one of the cutest outcomes.
