Do you know how to sew at all (if not, someone who does might do this for you)? If so, 1 cut it down the back 2 use bias tape or satin blanket binding (basically satin bias tape) to enclose the raw ends (just a straight stitch) 3 either make button holes or rivets on each side 4 run a length of ribbon through the holes for a corset laced back which will enable more give, letting the front buttons close fully to wear the way you had hoped. IMHO, corset backs (or just lacing in general) always add/s a touch of sexy. You'd even be able to switch out the lacing ribbons to match different outfits.
