Does life have to have meaning? I remember reading in the Bill Bryson book " A short history of nearly everything", there's a moss, which grows on a rock in the arctic (or Antarctic, can't remember which). It grows 1 cm per year. nothing feeds on it, so it is not part of any food chain - what is the 'meaning' of this?

We as humans don’t know what is, anymore than an ant understanding why we shop at Walmart. 🙃 Unfortunately it is beyond the human mind. But, there is something , and the details of everything cannot be ignored or overlooked. Conscience is the power and there is no answer other than conscience coexisting in this universe and it is more powerful than empirical evidence.
