@traineffectiveofficial: Do you struggle taking penalties? Messi did too. In the 2016 Copa América final. Messi stepped up first for Argentina and blazed it over the bar. Chile won the shootout. He retired from international football that night. But Messi eventually came back. Won the Copa América. Then even the World Cup (scoring his pen there as well). But here’s the secret to what the best do differently from the spot: 🎯 Pick your spot before you walk up. 🐌 Slow your walk to the ball. 🧘‍♂️ Focus on the ball at the moment of contact. 🧠 Visualise the ball hitting the net. Your penalty most of the time isn’t a technical problem. It’s a mental one. A lot of pros didn’t fix their technique. They reframed their mentality, came back, and stopped letting one moment define him. #messi #MLS #footballtiktok
