I’ve been married 20 years, love my husband and he’s fantastic but I gave up my career to be a SAHM. I have a run fund, separate checking and savings accounts and my own IRA all knowingly funded by him. Every month I pull money to put in them.

My aunt gave me the advice at my wedding to love and adore him with my heart but mistrust him with my bank accounts and priority’s. She said the way to be safe is to love and trust him to a degree but always have a back up plan in case he changes.
