@dmv_kid96: 1. Take notes and do your own research. This seems obvious, but if an institutional investor can take his own notes in a meeting about the company he’s investing in, you can as well. If you are going to invest in a single name security (a single company, not an ETF or mutual fund), you should be able to clearly articulate then reason why you are investing to yourself and others. 2. AI is changing investing. A decent portion of the meeting was spent around AI. Investors want to know how AI will either accelerate growth, cut costs, or increase productivity. If you are already invested in or thinking about investing in companies that AI native, use these three points to evaluate your strategy. 3. Read credible research. Part of the discussion centered on the PM’s favorite research analysts (equity research). Most regulator investors won’t have access to the expensive research institutional investors get, but there are great resources online you can use.
