I thought that the first rule of true crime is you only speak about either closed cases or outdated ones

Let’s not forget they accused her of having an affair with one of the victims and that it was the ghosts of said victims who told her so 🤪

in order for it to be true crime, it has to be TRUE. speculation can hurt actual investigations and ruin lives.

I’ve been saying it for years, true crime should not be monitizable.

Why I am very careful w the true crime I consume. I watch TC that reports on it not ones that gossip about it or tries to solve it in real time. Dateline or Crime Junkies. Even then you have to be careful of exploitation

I like true crime but mostly the psychology behind it. I don’t like it when people try and come up with theories for open cases simply bc it muddies the waters. Yes some crimes have been solved thanks to the public joining in but that’s bc the police allowed it. There’s a very delicate balance that most social media people don’t do correctly.

Rule #1 of having a true crime show should be conducting the show in a respectful and responsible manner, not like this…

It was the fact that even after getting slapped with those hella punitive damages she still kept yapping about the professor as if she still did it, too 🤦

I like true crime documentary but not the recent ones coz even I see there are doubtful parts, I don't want to be an instrument of spreading baseless claims online

I enjoy it for learning about old cases or current trial information and breakdowns of current cases based on facts provided in the case - not hearsay. Gooj is someone I trust to provide actual facts. These people putting out false information because their "psychic" intuition told them is stupid and dangerous.

And a sidenote I wouldn’t even call her a true crime podcast if memory serves me she was using tarot cards. Not saying that to disagree with your video

I hate true crime because of this kind of thing. There's a true crime podcaster I cannot stand that will have the same fate if he keeps up his antics.
