Twin Miller 1131 ci engines, complete with Schwitzer-Cummins Roots-type superchargers and Miller carburetors. Designed and built in 1931 to challenge the speed record of 110mph set by the Miss England II. These are the only 2 ever built. This boat, The Miss America VIII, was clocked at 104 mph. The engine design was made to deliver 1800 hp at 6000 rpm, but never surpassed 4200 rpm.
