"from my experience running a phone shop these phones are fragile" yes bro because people come to you when their phone is broken. no one will come to your shop and say "hey look my flip is fine" thats such a bs take. these phones are much more durable if you actually take care of them and take in consideration the instructions samsung gives you

“oh but mine has lasted -“ you are the exception, not the rule. A $1k+ phone should not have issues like this as often as they do. I work in tech repair and see these all day every day. Zero damage to the phone, just hinge failure, and Samsung refuses to cover it in warranty 9 times out of 10

I've only used z folds from the 4 to now the 7 and have never had a single issue or thought of going back to a non-foldable
