I have a special needs son and this still hits… my wife has recently passed away and now it hits even more… we all long for someone else’s “normal” at some points I’d say.

i feel this... I'm 41 single and no kids, I've helped raise all my nieces and nephews. They all call me their second mom.. but I get so emotional when I see a young pregnant woman, a mom holding her newborn.. and I'm so happy for them but i quietly yearn for that.. and think to myself i dont have long till my body can't have babies anymore, and i get scared that when that time comes, I'll mourn the children I'll never have..

I’m 41 with lots of stuff. I’m a lover with no kids. I’m wrecked from someone that has kids. The person I wanted can’t have kids anymore. I wanted her either way.

I relate with this so much. I love that you’ve said life is too short to pretend you’re not dying inside to have kids. It’s such a huge pain but you’re right. No use in pretending it’s not on your heart in the biggest way.

Sometimes I get emotional when I see a young happy family. I know how much I could love my family, I know how much I could love a present father for my child, I know how much I want love for my self.But I know I am a lover and most people out here are just to tough and hard and not intentional. I can't allow myself to risk my current happiness for a moment of happiness that could most likely be temporary
