I loved staying in Ximen while in Taipei. It was well comunicated and for me it didnt feel so crowded and chaotic, it was lively! So many little shops and food vendors, street performances. I come from a very calm European capital city so for me it was so fun, like adventure! So I would recommend it for first time tourist

For the donuts: search for other stores. I saw one store just outside 忠孝敦化MRT (no queue). The one with the long queue is simply because it’s at Ximending.
