Footage broadcast by Iranian state TV appears to show its navy boarding and taking control of a large cargo ship. Masked men armed with weapons board the ship in the dramatic video, as Iran intensify their assault on shipping in the waterway. Meanwhile footage released by the US Department of Defense appears to show American forces landing on the deck of oil tanker Majestic X - a vessel previously sanctioned by the US for smuggling Iranian crude oil - in the Indian Ocean. It comes as peace talks between the two countries stalled, with Iran rebuffing efforts to restart the talks in Pakistan, whilst the US continue their blockade of Iranian ports.
