I’ve been a staunch progressive for many many years, and while of course I love to see progressive wins, it’s all temporary unless we change the voting system. Please trust me on this. We had huge progressive wins 100 years ago with the New Deal and after that the billionaires slowly figured out how to control the two party system. Democrats are now firmly owned at the federal level by Liberal billionaires, and Republicans are owned by Conservative billionaires. And those two groups have a lot of things in common. We NEED Ranked Choice Voting and/or Proportional Representation. This should be part of EVERY SINGLE CONVERSATION where people are complaining about the parties!
