A little too direct. “Did you… ever have a woman?” The question lands wrong. Yannis pauses. Not because he’s unsure… but because he’s annoyed that it even matters. “No… I’ve never had a woman.” And suddenly, the conversation shifts. Not into clarity. But into something even more complicated. “Oh… so that’s why.” Alaric smiles, already building a solution in his mind. Women are gentle. Caring. Wonderful… And apparently the answer to everything. “We’re going to the market tomorrow, right? I’ll help you approach a lady you like.” Wrong direction. And Yannis just stares at him, like he can’t decide if this is helpful or completely unbearable. A long silence follows. Yannis exhales slowly, looking away for a moment, as if weighing something he doesn’t fully understand about himself. Not convinced. Not comfortable. But… not entirely dismissive either. Finally, he looks back at Alaric. “If this is what you want… fine.” A brief pause. “I’ll try.” There’s reluctance in his voice. Not certainty. As if he’s agreeing more to the idea of not disappointing Alaric… than to the idea itself.
