I never think about confidence. I want to have experiences with people and I jump in. When the interaction is in my domain, I own a motel, I have all the confidence in the world, I am the boss, I am in control of this persons experience and I know where the edges are. Outside of my domain I am still confident but need to navigate the unknown edges. Some of my confidence comes from feeling compelled to contribute to the world by showing up for others and, while being humble, believing I have something to contribute so it’s important to participate and share.
