irish curls are not a thing (I'm irish) the reason you're curls form underneath your hair is because your hair warms your neck and it sweats, so you waves/curls have more access to moisture where the top of your hairs moisture is meing blown away form wind, if you do a wavy hair routine consitsly you will get waves all over.
