@hormonedoc4u: Bioidentical micronized progesterone is a real hormone with real benefits. But some of the rules around it are more myth than medicine. #TransHealth #HormoneTherapy #Progesterone #MtF #TransWomen
I seem to have an erratic schedule of pseudomenstruation. Would cyclic use of progesterone help? I currently take it nightly. In order to mimic a cisgender woman's cycles, when would higher progesterone levels occur, relative to onset of menstruation? I can use that information to help guide when I should initiate and cease use each month. I will discuss it with my endocrinologist before I make any changes, of course, but I'd like the base information so that I can discuss it with him in an informed way.

Thankfully my doctor did not wait the year and started me on it pretty much immediately.

I'm boofing at night, but I've noticed I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping 😴 But I've seen in forums everywhere that the bioavailability is better when I boof it. I'm so confused, I want what's best for my body, it's working and my breasts look better and better every week. What should I do?

How does one determine a proper dosage of progesterone? For those of us that maybe don't have access to good transgender healthcare services.

my doctor cited that "a year is very early in terms of breast development" as a reason to hold off on prog. I'm a little confused as to why.

I was hoping if you had any advice on the muscular or shape growth of breast tissue. I can tell the progesterone is working and I take it daily, but they seem to be growing more outwards than fully rounding out. in addition one is larger than the other noticeably, is there any data at all to point to a potential solution? for example, if I switched to cycling would this give more time for supportive tissue to grow or give more time for one breast to "catch up" to the other? I had read that the cycling in cis women was a part of breast growth so it can round out, but I'm unsure of this applies here.

What are the risks of progesterone, and does route of administration make a difference? Specifically, I want to know if there are clotting risks associated with progesterone.

Has this caused dizziness and vomiting for anyone else? Mostly dizziness or is it just me, or should this be unrelated to the progesterone, meaning I ought to get some tests done?

I was on progesterone shortly after starting hormones, but the Doctor took me off it. My latest Doctor (as the other retired) put me back on it just recently after I quizzed her about more breast growth. She suggested it may work, and gave me Prometrium (not sure if you have the same stuff there). Probably too early to say if it’s working, I guess I’ll know when the breast soreness returns

It's refreshing to see a medical professional that's properly versed in trans care. You're the first I've seen that knows the benefits of each administration route beyond different serum levels! 😅

I am wondering if there is any evidence to better results when starting progesterone while also increasing estrogen or if it makes no difference. I've literally never seen anyone talking about that specifically
