I don’t have itching from grease, but I will itch after 7-10 days. I think it’s because I sweat and workout (often outside) multiple times a week. Can you speak to what’s normal for a healthy scalp/hair if you work out often?

I mean putting grease/oil/butter on ones scalp can exacerbate itching and flakiness. so can waiting weeks to wash your hair. esp if you have sensitive scalp. that's just a fact. idk why people have to be so combative about everything.

Blue Magic never made my scalp itch. I also didn't put it on my scalp tho. I just put it on my hair while damp, put a cap on over night, and the next day it was super moisturized but never greasy. I think people are using it wrong.

I have dandruff and after using other expensive products (that do work) that I went back to Sulfur 8 cause the grease forms allows the active to stick and do its job. Haven't had those dandruff problems since.

I don't think that someone who can't last more than a week is necessarily doing something wrong or goofy...Scalps are different and what works for some - doesn't work for all. It's wonderful that your clients can, but they don't represent everyone. I can last only 7 - 10 days. After that, I get really itchy. Mostly due to eczema and allergic reactions that also impact my scalp. I imagine there are others like me.

Going back to grease. These scalp serums ppl told me to buy are making my scalp dry and flaky and reverting my hair. because they’re water based I have to apply way more often than grease. Naw I’m good lol

Honest question: is someone only able to go a month without washing their hair if their scalp is completely healthy and doesn’t have any issues? I’d love to be able to go that long, but I have seborrheic dermatitis and I usually have to wash my hair once a week (sometimes even more) because the flakes and itching get so bad and painful. I’m just wondering if it’s actually realistic or possible to go a whole month without washing if you have dermatitis.
