@myteacherface: 4 million high school seniors are about to graduate from high school, and virtually all of them can vote in the midterms this fall. We keep acting like young people don’t vote while doing almost nothing to get them registered. When they’re registered, they vote. That’s not an opinion, that’s data. And high school, the easiest fix, is sitting right in front of us. Let’s start using it! Check out the link in my bio from @The Civics Center to see how student-run voter registration drives can come to your school! #vote #votingmatters #thecivicscenter #myteacherface

Grae Scale :
my high school had voter registration in the lobby. I wouldnt have even known how to vote unless they did that. (sure they spelled my name wrong so I had to go in person and re-register, but they got the ball rolling)

As a special education teacher, I give the voter registration information to all my caseload. As a history teacher, we teach our seniors how to determine their important topics and how to register if they are old enough as seniors

I used to get my seniors registered! The history and social studies teachers did too! We need to make this an annual event everywhere!

My son turns 18 this year. I’ve drilled it in him that there are 2 civic obligations for being a citizen; Jury Duty & Voting. He voted for the first time this week for the VA Redisticting election.

Yes!!! I pat myself on the back because as soon as my nephew turned 18, I helped him fill out the paperwork. I also make him go with me to early voting…no excuses!!

my high school Civics teacher was a huge proponent of voter registration. he had a "I WANT YOU...TO VOTE" Uncle Sam poster on one wall, another "are you registered to vote?" sign, worked the poll in his district, and had voter registration papers in his file cabinet. I was downtown one day around 5 months before I turned 18 & was signed up by someone who was registering folks on the street. been a voter ever since
