I just went hands-on with Meta’s brand new lineup of smart glasses, I have so many thoughts!!! The biggest news? Meta ventured beyond the Ray-Ban and Oakley logos for this new collection, which means the entry price drops down to a much more palatable $299. I tried on the main styles: Adventurer (a classic rectangle) and Fury (fun, bold frame) as well as Meta Glasses by Kylie that seriously do not look like tech at all. They don't *feel* like tech, either! We've got new overextension hinges so they flex outward and don't pinch your head, adjustable nose pads and adjustable temple tips with an internal core wire you can actually mold to your ears (and it looks so cool visible inside the transparent frames!) Tech-wise, you get the same awesome camera and open-ear audio platform, but it's launching with Metas's AI model called Muse Spark. It's way better at natural, flowing conversations and can even pull local recommendations based on what people are actually talking about on Threads and Plus, they're adding live translation for 14 new languages and audio-only pedestrian turn-by-turn navigation very soon!
