@naderaccountancy: Can you deduct Rolexes, luxury watches, or designer clothes just because you post content online? In this video I break down the tax claims people keep making about YouTube channels, watch flipping, social media influencers, business write offs, IRC 162, inventory, and what actually counts as a real business expense. Talking about watches on YouTube does not automatically make every Rolex a tax deduction. Same with influencers trying to write off luxury clothing, designer outfits, or personal items. There is a huge difference between inventory, ordinary business expenses, and personal expenses. If you are into tax, business, entrepreneurship, YouTube, watch reselling, luxury watches, Rolex, influencer taxes, business deductions, tax write offs, LLCs, and creator economy topics, this one is for you. #tax #finance #business

Doesn’t this also fall is the same reason you can’t write of clothing as a tax write off. If you could use it for personal use it’s not a write off.

You can only expense inventory after you earn revenue (COGS) related to that inventory or if it is written off due to obsolescence/damage, and the IRS will expect proof.

inventory isn't written off until sold as cost of goods sold so saying "it's available for sale" but never selling them still doesn't result in any tax deduction lol
