Jim Starlin has gone out of his way to make himself the face of Robin Resentment, a thing that plenty of Batman writers and artists have had, but none so publicly and proudly. A part of me empathizes because it has to feel creatively stifling to have to incorporate an element you don’t understand, but Robin has been an essential element of Batman since practically the jump. It’s like wanting to work on Superman but not wanting to include the whole “champion of the little guy” thing.

Ain’t this also the guy that, whenever Thanos lost in a comic, he’d retcon it so that Thanos never technically loses? Like when Squirrel Girl beat him and The Watcher was all “Yeah, that’s the real one. Not a clone, or a robotic replica, but the real Thanos.” later it was written that that was a robotic replica so convincing it fooled The Watcher
