What I hate the most about this is how after being corrected, the people who initially misread (or didn’t read) the article could’ve just taken it on the chin, acknowledged that they made a mistake, and moved on to an actually productive conversation. We could’ve talked about the drugs that the gc was shipping around the world and how we could be using the CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT agency to help prevent rape in this country instead of breaking up families and communities. We could’ve talked about how the ID requirements for access to adult sites that our government is currently passing could instead be transformed to track down the men who uploaded the most direct evidence possible, literal video footage, of their sexual crimes instead of using it for mass surveillance of our citizens under the flimsy guise of protecting children. We could have shared and amplified the actual stories of the women who were violated by their life partners (Christian Divyne actually did this by READING THE ENTIRE F*%&ING ARTICLE VERBATIM TOP TO BOTTOM to spread awareness on this app which I didn’t see anyone questioning his intentions doing). Instead, the people who got the facts wrong accused the ones correcting them of distracting from what actually matters, which ironically itself pivots the conversation away from the men in the rape academy and their victims and instead makes it about the assumed intentions of the people who were counteracting the spread of misinformation.

the efiles misinformation on here is so bad. i think it goes unchecked more due to the sheer size of the content. i would try and look through to fact check and its just simply… so much stuff. i only started taking people’s videos that listed sources or posted screen shots as truthful

Sadly, we live in a social climate.Where, when stuff like this comes out, a lot of people have the mindset of they don't want to he. The men that are doing these terrible things. They just want a reason to hate men. They want a reason to look at their neighbor stephen across the street.And look at him with disgust and feel justified in that these are the exact people that are hurting causes. Like the me too movement and feminism, these are people that are just using these causes.Just to be sexist and because it's towards a group that people see as harmful, it's not really talked about much
