I recently did connections through MIA and didn't have that issue. What i did, I found and agent and told them I have a connections and I was push through the express line. Ask for the express line next time.

I went through here last Friday and experienced this! 🥺 Horrible! My 2 hour layover was not enough, luckily my second flight got delayed, else I would have missed it 😏

yeah man Miami and Ft Lauderdale!!!!!!!! listen!!!!!!!! ft Lauderdale made my 3 hour connection turn into 10 minutes! when I come up I make sure I have like 5 hours buffer in Miami to prepare for this line madness!!

A tip: you can always ask the people ahead of you if you can go before them because your flight leaves soon. I always connect through Miami and the people are not horrible because most of their final stop is in Miami so if you're connecting they would let you go ahead of them.
