Netflix version …. HATE IT! A true fan who has watched every episode since I was a child in the 70’s…. Read every book. I watched every episode as a child and again in my adult years. I’m sooooooo disapponted. This is AWFUL!!!

The books and the show are completely different. The 70s-80s show was a Michael Landon vanity project and addressed 1970-80s issues.

Michael Landon made the show revolve around himself as opposed to Laura. And in the books, he is not great by modern standards. I mean he just kept dragging his family to worse and worse situations and was never successful.
