@2.worlds.collide.podcast: This week on the 2 Worlds Collide Podcast, I sit down with Senator Alex Antic — for a direct and unfiltered conversation about some of the biggest and most controversial issues facing Australia right now. We dive into the Ben Roberts-Smith defamation case — unpacking the national debate, media coverage, and what this situation means for veterans, accountability, and public trust. We also explore growing concerns around global instability — including refinery fires and energy security — and what it could mean for Australia moving forward. Beyond that, we unpack immigration — how it’s impacting housing, infrastructure, and the cost of living — and why it’s become a major issue heading into upcoming elections. We also discuss the ASIO Amendment Bill 2026 and what it could mean for government powers, public trust, and everyday Australians. It’s an honest conversation about politics, national security, and the direction of the country. 🎥 Now live on YouTube & all major podcast platforms!

My son was hell bent on joining the military since he was 8. In grade 12 he went through the whole recruitment process, passed everything and done everything except signed the contract. He is now 18 and no longer wants to join as he believes the Govt will not back him and he dosnt have any trust in the Australian Govt .

Civilians are not enemy’s. I would suspect soldiers would feel more secure that rouge soldiers are made accountable. So we encourage soldiers to join by saying “do as you like” “ no consequences” ? Again, you are not saying Benny didn’t do anything just trying to justify it. And it wasn’t in the fog of war !

I’ve been contemplating joining the army for the past 4 years. I held back due to my fitness, now that I’m fitter I don’t want to join because I feel as though I’m only gonna get screwed over by our government

It’s exactly like all the police forces around the country. Struggling with recruitment and retention because of the mismanagement and not being able to do your job without worrying about getting a target on your back for what you’ve done in the heat of the moment
