@nancyychristine: Frozen shoulder risk increases in menopause, but it’s not just from lack of movement. Estrogen loss and insulin resistance can make connective tissue stiffer, which increases the chance of the shoulder tightening. When pain starts and movement decreases, that’s when it can progress. Early symptoms like night pain or reduced range of motion are the window to stop it. I think this might be the one menopause symptom I haven’t experienced (thank goodness). I’m curious how many of you have it or have dealt with it at some point? Like, how common is this?🤔🤔 #menopause #frozenshoulder #hormones
My left shoulder is frozen. I had some tests done, and they also showed tendinitis. I can’t even sleep on my left side.

I had this and took swim lessons. Swim lessons did it. I had been sent to PT and that did nothing.

Mine didn’t start off hurting. And it wasn’t a slow progression I tripped and landed in a push up position and nothing hurt a week later I woke up and I went to brush my hair and realized I couldn’t lift my arm.

My frozen shoulder started when I began consistently stretching for a week. On day 5, I started feeling deep soreness and I made the mistake of not moving my arm. It did exactly what she said! It went up from my bicep to my shoulder. It was a mess! It literally took 19 months to feel better!

Proper manual work and reflexology can reduce pressure and spasticity throughout the body, including the shoulders. Stiffness in other parts, not the shoulders, is the initiating cause in some situations, and this can be controlled by proper reflexology that starts as early as possible.

How to prevent it? Mine just happened and exercise and stretching isn't helping. I don't trust it to hold weight at this point in time and it was my workhorse arm.
