I have a love/hate relationship with the word witch, but not for the reasons others have. My ancestor, William Stoughton, was the chief justice of the Salem Witch Trials. I didn’t feel like I had any right to be called a witch because of what my ancestor had done. I now understand that me being a witch is both his reckoning, and my gift to help others. I now use plants to help heal others, which is exactly what Hecate and Persephone would do.

The dream I had of her she came to me I was doing spells and she put her arms around me, and this power. I really stopped working and haven’t felt her energy like I have now, since four years ago. D

This absolutely resonates with me! I worked with Hecate for a while and then she seemed to be behind the scenes for a while. I experimented with a lot of spells and crystals and now I’ve come full circle and realized I don’t need those things I am my own magic. I just need to integrate and appreciate all parts of myself so I have my full power.
