my native language is arabic and I can guarantee you if it wasn’t my mother tongue i would’ve never learned it 😭 it’s a beautiful language and I love it but to this day I struggle understanding arabic poems and stuff bc it’s that hard

Arabic is so hard even us who speak it at birth and natively are afraid of saying some sentences cause we don't know how they pronouns or conjugation would work and we do not memorize the rules. for example let's speak numbers, this is how to conjugate numbers in arabic: 1-2 agree with the subject and take the same gender 3 to 9 take the opposite gender of the subject like if we are talking about girls we say thalathou banatin mean 3(male) girls(female). 11 and 12 agree with the subject so ihda acharata binatan it means 11(Female) girls(female) 13 to 19 take the opposite so for example khamsa acharata bintan it means 15(male) girls(female) So yeah even us who are native arabic speakers can't memorize all the rules, and we also cannot read poetry cause we wouldn't be able to understand most of the words. Like for example the word lion has like 10 or 11 synonyms I only know 3: Asad, Oussama, Ghadanfar
