The “PERIOD” is the FUNCTIONAL LAYER of the endometrium shedding off because no fertilized egg implanted in the uterine cavity! Sooo having a period 🩸means that the body is shedding the lining of the uterus, which comes out through the vagina as blood. Here is the idea in a simple, clear way: Every month, the body prepares for a possible pregnancy: The uterus builds a thick, nutrient-rich lining (endometrium) An egg is released (ovulation) 👉 If the egg is not fertilized: Hormone levels drop The body no longer needs that lining 👉 So the uterus lets it go: The lining breaks down and is shed This is what we see as menstrual bleeding, or a period! 😎 I had a pretty bad infection in my right eye, and the light was making it tear up nonstop.
