it's a good design, but having built many of these for friends and family...... Beware heavy bins!!!. Without direct support under the bottom of the totes, heavier ones begin to warp and distort.

I said this wasn’t a good idea when I saw the first person do it. You’re hanging the bins from the lip and they don’t support much weight. They aren’t meant to hang. They are meant to stack or sit flat on their bottoms. Over time the bottoms will sag and weaken. I have seen it first hand.

You can rip down the horizontal rungs on a table saw and get twice the material from each 2x4

My biggest pro tip is there is a great iPhone app called StowQR that makes keeping track of everything inside the bins a lot easier. Plus it has great search.
