From my professional experience you can 100% get a facelift after getting sculptra (most surgeons say wait one year after your last sculptra before surgery). I’ve been treating my mom for 4 years with Sculptra and she just got her facelift and her surgeon has zero issues and actually recommended another treatment after 6 months to help her skin integrity from the inflammation and trauma from the facelift. The main ingredient in sculptra (PLLA) stimulates fibroblast cell production which then slowly turn into type 3 collagen and than into type 1. When done slowly and controlled it reduces that thick “scar tissue” like formation of collagen. hopefully that helped!! But i’m a huge fan and you would have zero issues down the line 🤍

This is not true! Sculptra is a biostimulator so it stimulates collagen growth. Sculptra helps strengthen the skin but a good surgeon is not effected by Sculptra being properly placed by a trained injector

remember filler can go wrong but it CAN be dissolved. Once sculptura is in, it’s in. How your body reacts to it is non reversible.

I believe sculptra is for volume loss it doesn’t look like you need it. Some young people say it makes them look “puffy “ probably because they didn’t have volume loss as much. Some older people say they love it because they actually do have volume loss and they benefited from the sculptra so they don’t look puffy. Also sculptra has to been done properly you can’t just go anywhere.

The only reasons why I don’t want to get it is because I’m prone to bad inflammation and it can cause granulomas it also can’t be dissolved so if you have unevenness you’re kinda stuck, and yes doctors don’t like it if you want a face lift later.

unlike filler, which didn’t have a long trajectory at all before everyone started doing it, sculptra and radiesse have been around for 20+ years, so there is enough info on side effects etc. i think the biggest risk is going to someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing, and i honestly think most providers who offer this might not have enough experience/proper training, just like there are MANY people giving awful results with filler, except filler at least is reversible in theory!

Personally, I wouldn’t do it, there are so many alternative. I’ve beans screaming about the side effects of fillers and certain biostimulators for years. I don’t necessarily think most practitioners are intentionally hiding the risks; many are simply following their training and the “science” they’ve been taught without applying enough critical thinking or looking beyond one perspective. The industry can heavily influence practitioners, and their consumers especially when their knowledge isn’t well-rounded or holistic. That’s why it’s so important for both practitioners and clients to continue questioning, researching and understanding the long-term impact, not just the immediate result.
