@blueacregarden: Tulips all done blooming?🌷 Treat as perennials by: Deadheading spent flowers, Keep the leaves until they turn yellow—this is how bulbs store nutrients for next season, and Fertilize with a balanced bulb fertilizer to replenish nutrients. Once the plant dies back, lift and store bulbs in a cool, dry place until fall. #TulipCare #GardenTips #SpringGarden #gardening #TikTokLearningCampaign
You’re supposed to take them out out of the ground? I just leave them. They come back every year.

I feel like this is making tulips complicated for no reason. The benefit of tulips is they are so low maintenance. Set em and forget em until they grow again.

I’ve never heard of anyone pulling them out of the ground and replanting them - they winter over perfectly. The beauty of tulips is you plant them once and they multiply and rebloom for years to come

Zone 7 PA - I leave mine in ground and they pop up every year. This year a frost got them, but normally they hang around a bit.

Would leaving them in the ground cause them to multiply? I always wondered about tulip reproduction.
