My understanding is that people with white coat hypertension have a similar risk of cardiovascular disease as people with regular old hypertension

First of all I think it’s awesome that you felt you needed to change your vocation or calling in life but still feel the need to help people (who says you can’t do both?). The past couple of years I’ve really focused on not counting calories but eating very mindfully (eggs, fish, leafy greens etc.) my Dr. cut my BP med in half and it might need cut again. And you may not find this funny but I still sneak in a loaded coffee cup full of ice cream a day. And I only drink black coffee and water. Keep up the good work

I’m glad you have mentioned this. At the beginning of year my pressures began rising to where I now take metoprolol twice daily, isosorbide dinitrate twice daily, and also lisinipril once daily and my pressure still runs close to 130/90. I’m confused why so much meds and not huge results.

My thoughts I believe BP meds is extremely overly prescribed. I've never believe I needed it. At home, my BP is always normal, always ! At the doctor n hospital is always high ! I believe there BP equipment is intentionally fixed for higher results therefore over prescribed meds ... that's right !

I monitor. Then what? What's the point of checking if there is no instructions about what to do?
