I’m a finance professional and I’m married to a Disney adult addict. Twice a year we go to Disney. In fact, I don’t know if my wife is aware that there are even other places in the world. After 30 years, I simply gave in. However, as a finance professional, I ran those numbers forwards and backwards through every little Excel spreadsheet I had. And came to the same conclusion you did. If you’re going to use it, you’re going to save money. Disney gets you when you don’t use it. So commit or don’t commit. For myself, I have conceded that my European vacations will be drinking around the world at Epcot for the foreseeable future .😂😁

My parents bought in when it first started back when OKW was called Disney Vacation Club. They got free park passes for 10 years!

We bought at the Boardwalk in '98. $60 a point. $12k for 200 points seemed so huge at the time. 😆 Haven't regretted it though. We would have been in value resorts otherwise.

Or if worse comes to worse, you can sell it. We bought in 2008 at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. 200 points at $104 a point. $20,800. We had it for 10 years. Sold it when we got divorced for $20,000. So we used it for 10 years and got our money back.

I like Disney World, but imagine being so shallow to not expand horizons and visit Europe, Asia and other. Like going back for the same amusement park year after year. Amusement park. That’s where you go every year. Like try it every 4 years and you will enjoy that trip more than any of your go every year ones.
