The cetylpyridinium chloride and similar agents in many mouthwashes bind to proteins and bacteria, making them clump visibly. It looks dramatic but doesn’t necessarily mean your mouth was dirtier than someone using regular mouthwash.

We are more bacteria than not. There is good and bad bacteria. Having balance and good bacteria is needed to keep the bad at bay. Rogue killing of bacteria doesn’t solve the issue. It opens the door for bad bacteria. How does this product handle that?

Hate to break it to you, but this is a classic marketing trick. The 'clumps' are just the rinse curdling your saliva proteins so you think it’s doing more than it is. Try rinsing with water right after—the clumps still happen. 😬
