My daughter takes Concerta for ADHD. Her son got into her meds when he just started crawling and pulling up on furniture so he was still little. BD was in the room with him but wasn’t paying attention. We took him to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. He got restless legs, nystagmus, constant crying and a few other things. The hospital didn’t test the baby or my daughter or me for that matter. They kept us in the hospital for observation for abt 8 hours. He was finally able to sleep when my daughter wrapped her legs around him and provided pressure down on his legs. It was a terrifying situation! My daughter being a new mom learned that even her little, beautiful, curious baby can get into things she assumed he couldn’t. So, not taking up for the patents but why did they jump right into charges for these parents? It seems like the police have a history with this couple probably and that’s why the came at them so hard? I guess I just don’t understand why the hospital went so hard at the parents from the start but not for us. Were we just lucky they didn’t test us? We still to this day don’t know if he actually did actually get that pill down since none of us were tested (we assume he did get the pill into his belly). My daughter learned a very important lesson that day. My grandson is fine and had never been able to reach a pill since that day
