i had a table of 14 for a bridal party. all got appies to share and each got a drink. i put everything on separate bills just in case, but come to the end they wanna just combine the bill and everyone pays evenly for the whole tab, EXCEPT for one girl who wants to pay separate because she got an allergy meal and didn’t eat any of the appies.. okay.. no biggie it’s not too busy, let me check on my other tables then go superset it. NOPE! they have somewhere to be in five mins. i go begin separating the bill so i can split the bill THIRTEEN WAYS and also get the one lady her bill separately. so im doing my thing, another server walks up to me “hey are you getting their bill? they’re asking for you” YES I AM 😭😭!! so i get it figured out, half the table is GONE. one lady says “oh we’re just gonna pay it all together and then transfer her” 😵💫😵💫😵💫 so back to the pos i go. i recombine EVERYTHING and my manager offers to bring out their ginormous bill, because we weren’t able to add everything together again, so now it’s coming up on the bill as everything split 14 ways still. so i notice him standing there for a moment, then he brings the bill back over to the pos. now he has to figure out how much the one lady with the allergy owes because the bill was separated 14 times and the burger she got is split up too. not only that, bought they thought i rang in an entree multiple times even tho they wanted TWO and got TWO!! 😭😭😭😭 genuinely started tweaking mid shift.
