@maggiesfoodtour: Last Call Baking Co has been on my list since I moved to Birmingham in late 2024, and I finally tried it… and WOW. It was everything I hoped for and more. If you love pastries like I do, here’s my tip: go there early, go hungry, and get a mix of savory + sweet so you can really experience what they do. The pastries I tried are SO flaky, crisp, and buttery but not heavy. You can tell they put so much care into each one. Here’s what I tried: • Chili Egg Danish – Delicious. Flaky, crisp, and that chili crisp + egg combo just works. I would LOVE this straight out of the oven, but even at room temp it was bomb. I could easily eat 4 of these. • Olive Oil Cake – This changed my life in the best way. I love olive oil, but never had it shine like this in a dessert. Moist, not too sweet (which I love), just perfectly balanced. • Ham + Cheese Croissant – Pretty good! I love a flaky croissant, and this one was delish! Overall, Last Call lived up to the hype and is officially my favorite bakery so far. Okay now tell me what should we try next?? 👀 #photopostcampaign #eatlikealocal #birminghamalabama #alabamabakery #birminghameats
