It’s the same with ‘Time’. They sent an engineer to a clock shop, made him set all the clocks at certain intervals then recorded the effect when they all went off. I’ve paraphrased the story, but it was all manual work and not digital recordings.

I’m trying to understand the statement at the end about “not taking the easy way out” but earlier had said there were no digital tools to make clean loop sounds. So they had no other choice. It wasn’t about the easy way out. It was the only way to make it happen and ever since then people have been imitating what they did manually
