@mothershipsg: The dramatic moment unfolded just as Sinfonia Lahti, a Finnish orchestra, played the finale of a violin concerto. After inspecting and tuning the violin, the violinist, Elina Vähälä, signaled for the show to go on. Online reports note that the violin was made in the 18th century, and similar models have been valued in the millions. On Facebook, Vähälä wrote that she relaxed her grip after playing the last chord of the section, which was "all that was needed" to allow the violin to go flying. “I discovered that I must be a ninja for managing to block the initial impact with my foot,” the musician added. "Miraculously the violin got no cracks, no scratches even," she continued, adding that the violin has been repaired. She also praised conductor Matthew Halls, whom she was playing with for the first time. #mothershipabroad #fyp #fypsg

Tyler Steele :
The point is not the evaluation in cost, but a violin that expensive with a premiere violinist is likely a Stradivarius. Which means it is likely irreplaceable and likely even if repaired will not sound the same.

No :
That was the violinists fault. The conductor was stationary on the pedestal. She kept moving closer and closer to him.
