My advice as a factory diesel tech for the past 26 years - wait until your engine is out of warranty and then get a delete kit.

Go electric and you'll never need to worry about this. Once a year I rotate my tires and change the washer fluid and I dunno what a mechanic looks like anymore

That is why you’re advised to do at least 1 run per month at 60+ for 15-20 straight minutes when the engine is at temperature . It gets rid of the carbon buildup. It also informs you that once engine is at temperature, every time you hit 60+ you engine will automatically de carbon itself. Guess people don’t bother reading up on engine care.

Diesels are the only thing that builds carbon. Gas engine do the same too and people don’t do fuel system cleanings
