@socialcap: That dream kitchen might be stunning, but if you’re designing purely for ROI, might want to wait until tomorrow’s list. #money #wealth #finance #tylergardner
whoever is living in their house and constantly thinking about the next buyer must be absolutely miserable. live for yourself. if something makes you happy, then it's worth the investment.

I agree with you and we’re in the middle of a kitchen upgrade. We went into this and the bathrooms renovations knowing there was no ROI but there was quality of life improvement.

If you have the money/ put in the pool - I did 22 years ago and never regretted it - in nj there is always someone who will buy a house with a pool

Message: your house is just a financial investment, that should be treated like a product for future sale. Anything you do to it should be with an eye to mass generic appeal for a generic future buyer, and with the goal to maximize profit. What a fun way to live your life! Now, go enjoy your house product!!

As a Realtor in AZ, the pool comment is 100% wrong. It's the opposite here. Homes without pools sell for considerably less money. You get a very good ROI for a standard pool. As long as it's not extravagant. I'd say leased solar is the largest waste of money, it's a very big liability that loses homes for many buyers.
