@aaron.the.rn: Moving abroad didn’t just test my skills as a nurse— it tested everything else. Learning how to drive in a new country. Figuring out what a credit score even is. Adjusting to a culture that feels familiar but completely different at the same time. But even inside the hospital, it felt like starting over. Different charting systems. Different protocols. Different expectations from patients. Even the way you communicate changes. What’s normal back home can come off completely different here. You double check everything. You overthink simple conversations. You try to prove yourself every single shift. And outside of work, life doesn’t pause for you. You’re learning how to build credit from zero. Understanding insurance. Paying bills you didn’t even know existed before. Trying to stay connected with family while building a life miles away from them. No one really prepares you for that part. The quiet struggles. The small wins no one sees. But somehow, you figure it out. And before you realize it, you’ve built a life you once prayed for. #nurses #nursinglife #immigrant #nurse #philippines
