Emphasis on the SMALL stud. Anything large, asymmetrical, or with a lot of texture will love more, hold onto more crusties and be hard to clean plus not sit exactly right. I wish I knew that first so this is great advice. I had my fancy design switched to a simple bezel set

I have a curve bell atm for my conch because the straight bar just hurt crazily. The curve bell is working atm and my ear is healing nicely
