@divine_brushes: In traditional depictions, Green Tara usually appears without a hat, with her characteristic crown and ornaments. But in some paintings—especially within the Karma Kagyu lineage—she is shown wearing the distinctive black crown associated with the Karmapa, linking her directly to the enlightened activity of the Karmapa incarnations. During the time of the Fifth Karmapa, Deshin Shekpa, the Ming emperor Yongle Emperor is said to have perceived this invisible crown through his devotion and spiritual insight. He then commissioned a material version of the Black Crown, richly adorned with gold and jewels, so that others could also connect with its blessing. This crown, believed to have been woven by dakinis, represents awakened mind itself. In this form, Tara is not only the liberator from fear, but the living expression of compassionate action guiding beings on the path.
