Nikolas.Gialelakis3 :
As a Greek, I feel a profound and ancient bond with Ethiopia, and I want to express my deepest respect and love for your incredible nation. Our connection is legendary, stretching back to when Homer wrote that the Olympian gods themselves would travel to your lands to feast with the most righteous and pious people on Earth. We share the timeless myth of Andromeda, the beautiful princess of Ethiopia saved by Perseus, and the brave King Memnon who fought at Troy. When history moved forward, our ancestors built strong ties through trade in great cities like Adulis, and the kings of Aksum proudly struck coins with Greek inscriptions and erected monuments in our language. But the most beautiful bond we share is our deep, shared Christian heritage. It was the Greek St. Frumentius who brought the faith to your royal court, and during the era of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, the great Emperor Justinian sought the alliance of King Kaleb of Aksum to protect Christians and secure the trade routes to India. Today, when I see the magnificent, ancient traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, I feel an overwhelming sense of brotherhood. You are truly based a fiercely proud, deeply spiritual, and unconquered people with a majestic culture. I love Ethiopia, our eternal sister nation of the south.🇬🇷❤🇪🇹
