Everybody ignores the fact that not all of Omatikaya look like cats. Some of them have thin noses and long faces that makes me think that Kiri probably looks less alien to them than we think.

I think a lot of the main characters r purposefully made to look more human-like so that the audience will relate with them more, and sympathize with their stories. I know neytiri was this way so I assume the others were as well

I noticed they only did that with Neytiris clan in the first movie. In the second movie the entire water clan was gorgeous

I wish they all looked like the background characters, I think it would really give off the alien vibe more, but I do get it would have less viewers since they'd be less pleasing to the eye

JONESTLY a lot of back ground characters have 'uncanny' features similar to avatars other than the eyebrows and 10 fingers. Makes me think the navi should've had a couple other alien features avatars didn't have that made them have very clear distinctions
