So the fact that cases are low usually means they're being managed effectively with the team we have, not that we don't need the team. That goes for most things. A lack of problem doesn't mean we don't need a team to manage it it means its well managed at the moment.

My job relies on cdc recommendations for public health info. As a telephone triage nurse I do get calls regarding rabies, as in real potential exposure. The fall of our public health infrastructure is deeply concerning to me as I talk to people every day that rely on accurate and accessible information for immediate health decisions.

I work for a county health department and help follow up on possible rabies cases. We have at least 1 if not multiple a week.😅
