I wish the world could go back to the old days. Not so much an Amish thing but back when my grandparents were alive. Life seemed so much sweeter.

Hang in there, remember to always smile, and no matter what we miss about our past lives sometimes our new journeys are just starting and only need the right people. Sometimes you can find the right people and have the almost same values in the non Amish community here, just have to think positive and meet the right people , just no matter what sweetie done ever give up

I wasn’t raised Amish but was around them a lot and i couldn’t agree more. I miss those things too!! Especially the singing lately 🥹

My husband has a cabinet business with an Amish family and we live very close to the Amish community.. we’ve gotten close to many. When I had my twins I had so many of them come over to give me food and help clean my house 🤍 something I’ll forever hold near and dear to my heart!

I’m sure there are many other ex Amish that miss some of the same things. Build yourself new community in your new life. Or teach some of those things to your new community.

I used to live right near the Amish on a run down campground ( they made the best pretzels) they tasted different than our pretzels
